San Diego’s Biggest Cleanup Day Is Here
San Diego knows how to party—and sometimes the beaches show it the morning after. That’s why local Realtor Steve Springer joined volunteers from across the county for the recent LOVE SD post–Labor Day cleanup at Belmont Park in Mission Beach, hosted by @iloveacleansd and @niagaracares. Buckets filled quickly, and every handful of trash collected proved that small actions make a big difference.
What is LOVE SD?
LOVE SD is a county-wide movement that inspires San Diegans to take environmental action. By caring for San Diego’s natural beauty, residents help protect it for future generations. From coastlines to canyons, every cleanup helps preserve the outdoor lifestyle that makes this region so special.
Coastal Cleanup Day – September 20
On Saturday, September 20, it’s the community’s turn to step up. Coastal Cleanup Day is the largest volunteer event in California, and San Diego will host more than 100 sites across the county. Whether it’s a park, canyon, creek, or coastline, every location needs helping hands.
Since 1985, volunteers have removed over 5 million pounds of litter from San Diego—that’s equal to the weight of two Star of India ships (the iconic tall ship at the Embarcadero). Each bucket of trash collected means cleaner neighborhoods, healthier air, a fresher ocean, and a stronger community.
How to Get Involved
Participating is simple:
-
Grab a friend and a bucket.
-
Choose a site. With more than 100 locations, there’s one near you.
-
Register. Visit cleanupday.org to sign up.
Why Steve Springer Supports This
Steve Springer isn’t just a Realtor in San Diego—he’s a neighbor. He works here, he lives here, and he loves spending time at the same beaches, parks, and neighborhoods as his clients and friends. For Steve, protecting San Diego’s natural beauty isn’t just good for business—it’s personal.
Whether it’s walking along Mission Beach, catching a sunset in Pacific Beach, or enjoying time with family and neighbors, Steve knows our environment is what makes life here so special. Supporting community cleanups is one way he gives back and helps keep San Diego the vibrant, healthy place we all love to call home.
This September, Steve is encouraging everyone to roll up their sleeves and join Coastal Cleanup Day. It’s about more than picking up trash—it’s about caring for the community we share and making sure future generations get to enjoy the same incredible San Diego lifestyle.
